Fyffes Ireland introduces new reduced-packaging banana band
As part of our drive towards improved sustainability, Fyffes in Ireland has just brought to market a fully recyclable paper band as a more environmentally friendly alternative to the plastic bags used widely within the sector. The new band is also fully compostable and is sourced from Forestry Stewardship Council approved sources. This development has the potential to greatly reduce plastic usage.
